Graduate Work
My research experiences up to date are limited to class projects. However, there are many skills that I have learned so far.

Research Skills
Through my graduate studies I've been able to acquire various skills that are important for research. These
skills include: searching for literature and writing literature reviews, writing research proposals, and process to create a methodology that fits the research questions. I am learning to write manuscripts for publication and how to conduct data collection and data analysis. Also, I’m learning to work collaboratively with research
groups for writing manuscripts for publication.
My graduate work can be found in the slides below.

LDT Experiences
The majority of my experiences in LDT have been limited to class projects in both my Master's and PhD studies. However, I have had the opportunity to apply my LDT skills to 'real world' projects.

From these projects I have acquired various skills. These include how to conduct analyses (student, organization, environment, job), design and develop courses, and the use of various models. In addition I've learned to understand various learning theories and how to apply them.

In addition, through the various analyses that I've conducted, I've been able to consider the ethical and legal considerations of a project. Further, I've had minimal experience considering the various human and social aspects of projects, like the stakeholders, budgets, and other issues.

I hope that through my continued studies in my PhD I will be able to learn more skills that will help me become an instructional designer.
Able Flight Ground Course
To provide structure to the Able Flight ground course, a re-design of the course was done. Through this project a new syllabus and curricula was made. In this project I was the instructional designer, SME, and instructor for the course. This project was done for a class project in AT528.

SATT SMS Project
As the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology (SATT) implements a Safety Management System (SMS), they are required to provide training to every individual in the department. I worked with an SME to design the training that would be given. As the primary instructional designer I designed and developed the course, which is to be given online.

For access to the design documents and materials, contact me. This project was designed for the department, permission must be asked prior to sharing outside of the department.
AT249 Course Re-design
AT249 - Instrument Lectures is a required course in the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology. Due to the transition of instructors, a re-design was done to improve the teaching of the course to meet the student's needs. In this project I was the instructional designer, SME, and one of the instructors for the course. This project was done as an assignment for EDCI565.

Aircraft Systems Online Learning Module
As part of Purdue flight program's objective to improve student performance in various weak areas, an online course was created to target one of the weak areas. This course is designed to act as a training course for the students and a refresher course for any instructor or student. In this project I acted as the instructional designer, SME, and course manager. This project was an assignment for EDCI569.

ADaPT Project
As part of an internship opportunity, I worked with Purdue University's Advising personnel to work on their ADaPT project. This multi phase project's objective is to update advisor training to be more relevant, effective, and engaging for new and current advisors. Using Rise Articulate software, I worked with SMEs and project leads to create consistent, well-structured, and engaging online modules. Through this project I also experienced working an iterative system as the project went through various rounds of evaluation and feedback, with changes occurring in each feedback loop.
