When it comes to teaching, my main goals is for my students to understand the concepts/material to a point were they are able to apply the knowledge and potentially transfer it to their aviation careers. In other words, I strive for my students to "master" the material at hand. My second goal is for my students to acquire the confidence to ask questions and ask for help whenever they need it.
Through my experience teaching in the flight program, I have learned that everyone learns different. Whether this requires changing my teaching style, the rate of learning, or my temperament. In addition, I have learned that to have an effective learning session, preparation is important. It requires careful thinking of activities and time management to ensure the learning objective is met.
